Only because the sun came out and it was 16 degrees!
Although I've been keeping bees in West Berkshire for twelve years, I quite rightly consider myself an amateur beekeeper. However, I have found the courage to give talks on the subject at BBKA Spring Conventions and Beekeeping Association meetings, more often than not, talking about my MISTAKES.
I have designed gadgets that I believe reduces stress to bees and you! My DonDor unit that is aimed at the National hive and has sold up and down the country. And now my DonMat that may well see the end to you SMOKING your bees! That must be good for the environment.
My passion for beekeeping has lead to me writing several articles for the BBKA and BeeCraft along with topical ideas for my local Bee Keepers Association. I've also written and published my book Buzzing with Ideas that is aimed at newcomers to the hobby who would appreciate the iconic good looks of a WBC hive.
